BARANOV'S CASTLE: THE MOVIE
Written by Joe Rizzo • Directed by Ryan Cannon

It started out as a puppet show, but if you thought you'd already experienced Baranov's Castle, you ain't seen nothing yet! With the support of the Alaska Humanities Forum, writer/Producer Joe Rizzo reassembled the Baranov team, and recruited experienced filmmaker Ryan Cannon to turn this exciting tale of early Alaska into a full-fledged motion picture. Alexander Baranov is Alaska's first governor, but when Capt. Hagemeister, a power hungry Naval commander arrives in New Archangel, everything is bound to change. Filled with action, laughs, and great songs, this locally written and produced puppet film is fun for all ages. Including original music and songs by Matt Boyle.
Running time: approx. 60 minutes.

BARANOV'S CASTLE: THE MOVIE has been accepted into the KIDS FIRST! Film and Video Festival 2007
KIDS FIRST!
is the largest children's film festival in the United States, and features quality childen's entertainment on a touring basis. Visit their website for screening locations.
